Gülhane Park ('Rose House Park') was once the outer garden of Topkapı Palace, exclusively reserved for the sultan and his court. Opened to the public in 1912, it's Istanbul's oldest public park. Open daily 6:00-22:30 (summer), 6:00-19:00 (winter). Free entry. Located at the entrance to Topkapı Palace in Sultanahmet. The park has several cafés and a children's playground.
